On the occasion of Christmas, the Fondazione De Rigo H.E.ART supports the Pharmacy Service of the Immaculate

The purpose of the Fondazione De Rigo H.E.ART is "to help those who help" in the implementation of social solidarity and support activities. For this reason, on the occasion of Christmas, the Fondazione decided to support the Pharmacy Service of the Immaculate, a charitable activity in the Belluno area aimed at helping the poorest and neediest people.

The Pharmacy Service of the Immaculate wants to take care of the last and neediest while promoting activities aimed at the treatment of physical suffering and moral distress.

In this sense, the Service seeks to offer, in a welcoming and listening atmosphere, qualified pharmaceutical advice, free direct distribution of non-prescription drugs, health, baby, personal and household hygiene products.

This service has been enriched over the years by a number of agreements with doctors and opticians in order to provide support for free access to dental care, specialist visits and the purchase of eyeglasses.

Access to the Pharmacy Service of the Immaculateis preferentially by referral from the diocesan Caritas or the social assistance of the municipality of residence.

The Service helps more than 120 families in need in the province of Belluno. Many of these families experience situations of precariousness and suffering with significant repercussions on work, child management and daily life (families with dependent children and precarious work, orphans, women left alone and victims of violence, people with a history of alcohol or drug addiction, ex-convicts, homeless people). In many cases, the pandemic and the current economic crisis have further exacerbated situations of fragility, and many people are forced to choose between eating, care or paying bills.

With its support, the Fondazione De Rigo H.E.ART has chosen to help the Pharmacy Service in trying to offer all these people welcome in a family spirit, listening and concrete help.
